When old computers reach the end of their useful life within an organisation, many an IT professional immediately has thoughts of charity on their mind and donating an old computer means someone else can use it to gain skills or keep in contact with the outside world.

However, this is not without its problems. No-one in their right mind would donate the CEO's old desktop without deleting important data such as financial records or confidential emails. Reformatting the disk does not erase this data permanently.

Saved to your hard drive as well as to the server, a user can quickly call up and restore the version that they need to refer back to.

Installation and configuration (Windows only) are simple and an application, TFS Administrator, does most of the hard work for you. This application is used for all configuration tasks, unless you want to do this remotely, in which case another product, TFS Secure Messaging Manager, allows this through a web browser. The Manager is also responsible for the security functions of the product.
