Unveiled at the Gartner IT security summit in London, the package is designed to allow business leaders to manage numerous security credentials, such as usernames, passwords and digital certificates, in one central management platform, according to RSA.

It also aims to help IT security managers enrol and identify users, install software security credentials, renew and suspend credentials, print smart cards and expedite replacements.

“Enterprises [can achieve] their potential by strengthening security through the use of diverse credentials,” said Christopher Young, vice-president and general manager of the identity and access assurance group at RSA.

“Unified management of an enterprise’s mix of authentication types across the entire credential lifecycle is essential to mitigating security risk.”

The software is fully integrated with RSA Authentication Manager, a two-factor authentication tool for issuing and managing other devices within Card Manager, such as smart card tokens and hardware authenticators.

The new version of RSA Card Manager is available now for RSA SecurID two-factor authentication customers.  Pricing depends on package.
