Oracle on Tuesday released 45 fixes for vulnerabilities across its products, including the widely deployed Oracle Database.The quarterly update also patched flaws in the Oracle Application Server, Hyperion, E-Business Suite, Enterprise Manager, PeopleSoft Enterprise and WebLogic Server.
There were 14 fixes for the Database, none of which could be remotely exploited without authentication, which traditionally is a sign for higher risk. The most severe vulnerability received a 6 out 10 on Oracle's Common Vulnerability Scoring System.
Experts at Sentrigo, a database security firm, told SCMagazineUS.com on Tuesday that the patch release was on par with previous updates from Oracle.
They said users should continue to expect a large number of flaws in Oracle products as data becomes more prolific and, as a result, researchers focus on these platforms.
